If yes, continue reading this article as we will talk about a special bee that scientists feared became extinct a while ago.
A few months ago, a group of researchers found a rare bee known as the blue Calamintha.
Before the creature’s disappearance, scientists learned that it was native to Florida.
They planned to learn more about this insect when suddenly it vanished.
Experts created search groups and looked for these bees in various places.
They spend a lot of resources and time, but sadly, they were not successful.
Eventually, they announced that the blue Calamintha became extinct.
Recently, researches came across the blue bee, which they believe did not exist anymore.
However, after doing some thorough investigation, they learned that these creatures were more abundant than they initially perceived.
They discovered some of these bees living near Central Florida’s Lake Wales Ridge.
Most experts thought these bees died out because the plant that these insects depended on to survive became endangered for many years.
Sadly, these bees were unable to thrive under other habitats, which is why many died.
Eventually, they disappeared, leaving no trace of their whereabouts, making people think that this species vanished forever.
